Vapor Pressure

The pressure exerted by vapors of the liquid on the surface of the liquid and on the walls of the container is called the vapor pressure of the liquid.
It should be noted that whatever be the volume or shape of the vessel, or the amount of liquid in it (assuming it to be more than the minimum amount required), the vapor pressure of a liquid is constant at a given temperature and changes only with the change in temperature of the liquid.
