Equations To Describe Uniformly Accelerated MotionIf a body moves with an initial velocity (u) and undergoes a uniform acceleration (a), then the three parameters, viz., displacement (s), final velocity (v) and travel time (t) are connected by the following three equations known as equations of motion, namely
- v = u + at,
- s = ut + at2,
- v2 = u2 + 2as,
where u is the initial velocity, v is the final velocity, a is the acceleration, s is the displacement, and t is the time.
