then area = lb.

frm qstn p= 2(l+b)=340.

When 1m broad boundary ,

length of bigger rctngle = l+1+1= l+2.

breadth= b+1+1= b+2.

area = (l+2)(b+2)

= lb+2b+2l+4.

Area to be gardened = area of bigger rctngl- area of rectnglr plot

= lb+2b+2l+4-lb

= 2(l+b) + 4

=340+4

=344 sq m.

Cost = 344*10 = 3440 rs.
