When 1,4-diiodo but-2-yne undergoes wurtz reaction what is the final product and how is it formed? (Guys, i checked it is not the general product which is formed,some other compound is the product.)

I think you will get the mechanism of above reaction in solemon and the product will not be a cyclic compound instead some unsaturated compond. The product i guess is buta 1,3diyne.
First of all the iupac name of the compound written in above ans is wrong it will be cyclo oct 1,6 diyne
