a. In Paget's disease during the resorptive phase there may be localised areas of osteolysis most typical is the flame shaped lesion extending along the shaft of the bone or a circumscribed patch of osteoporosis in the skull (osteoporosis circumscripta.
b. Later the bone becomes thick and sclerotic with coarse trabeculation. The femur develops (or tibia. fine cracks stress fractures that heal with increased deformity of the bone.
