Epiglottis has two surfaces; one is facing the oral cavity and the other towards the larynx.
Note: Oral cavity and its contents are lined by stratified squamous epithelium mostly.
- The laryngeal portion of epiglottis has respiratory epithelium (Pseudostratified ciliated columnar).
