Formaldehyde injected for embalming is: (LQ)
a. Contents of GIT, bladder, blood vessels are removed by trocar & cannula by suction.
b. Embalming fluid- 40% formaldehyde + 10% methyl alcohol- injected into femoral artery by positive pressure, done shortly after death.
c. Normal rigor does not develop. Embalming produces a chemical stiffening similar to rigor mortis.
d. The proteins are coagulated, tissues are fixed, organs are bleached and hardened and blood is converted into a brownish mass.
