· Ivabradine is a bradycardiac drug. It selectively blocks If sodium channel blocker (funny channels) and reduce heart rate by inhibiting the hyperpolarization-activated sodium channel in the SA node.
· No other significant hemodynamic effect has been noted. It reduces angina attacks similar to calcium channel blockers and beta-blockers. Lack of effect on GI and bronchial smooth muscle is an advantage of ivabradine.
