Pentothal sodium should be injected preferably into:
|A||Veins in antecubital fossa|
|C||Veins over the outer aspect of forearm'|
Veins over the outer aspect of forearm
Chances of intra-arterial injection of thiopentone is maximum when injected into antecubital fossa because in 10% of subjects there is abnormal ulnar artery just below antecubital vein. Dorsum of hand does not have any artery so is best site of thiopentone injection. Second best site after dorsum of hand is outer aspect of mid forearm.
