Thalidomide is now being studied for many conditions.
It is indicated in –
- Erythema nodosum leprosum (ENL)
- Cancer chemotherapy like – multiple myeloma & myelodysplasia.
- Crohn’s disease
- Dermatological conditions – although stomatitis, Beh|et’s disease, prurigo etc.
Around 30% of patients develop neuropathy on thalidomide.
The selective thalidomide derivatives – Lenalidomide is being studied in management of cancer.
