Varicocele of pampiniform plexus of veins has all the following characteristic except:

a. A varicoele is a collection of varicose veins in the pampiniform plexus of the spermatic cord and scrotum.
b. It is common, affecting up to 8% of young adult males.
c. The condition is much more common on the left. Various hypotheses have been postulated including:
i. left testicular vein drains into the high pressure renal vein; the right, into the low pressure inferior vena cava
ii. left testis is lower than right
a. left testicular vein is compressed by loaded sigmoid colon
d. The varicoele may develop secondary to invasion of the renal vein by a renal adenocarcinoma, obstructing drainage of the left testicular vein.
