Any one answer me what's the cost of bus
Electric vehicles are not common even on a global platform, so their Indian potential always invited skepticism. The 2014 Auto Expo on the other hand showed that India is gearing up for battery power and the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has introduced India’s first electric bus for passenger service. The electric motor bus, supplied by Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD, began plying on February 28th.
The BYD e-Bus
The bus seats 31 passengers and makes use of many advanced technologies including Iron-Phosphate (or Fe) batteries, in-wheel hub motors and brake power regeneration. The e-buses made by BYD are already in use in countries like the USA, China, Chile, Spain, Columbia, Denmark and the Netherlands. BYD says it’s battery is fire-safe, non-toxic and can be completely recycled. The estimated range of the bus is around 250kms, even in heavy city traffic, on a single charge, which takes four to six hours. The vehicle uses four ferrous batteries with a capacity of 324 kWh (kilowatt-hour); energy consumption stands at 1.2 kWh per kilometre. The e-bus battery pack has a battery management system (BMS) that monitors safety, voltage and temperature of individual cells for charge safety and balancing.
