Compound Statements

If two or more simple statements are combined by using logical connectives such as negation (~), and (), or (), implies (), equivalent () etc., the resulting statement is called a compound statement.
The truth value of a compound statement depends upon the truth value of its components (sub-statements which have been combined to obtain the compound statement) and the way in which they are connected. This will be explicitly explained in the subsequent work.
